Actively involved with our community

Cardon Resort has been an integral part of the Celestino Gasca community since it began operating almost 20 years ago. On a yearly basis, we make donations to the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee, which promotes improvement and growth while bettering the living conditions of hundreds in town. Cardon has played a major role in the town’s economic and social development through various activities, such as sponsoring local events, supporting local schools, environmental stewardship, building a more skilled local workforce, contributing to community projects, and overall improving the quality of life for the people of Celestino.

Here's some of the most recent projects:

INTERNET ROOM
This facility offers free high speed internet that was previously unavailable here, which is why we decided to build an internet room for all students in the town of Celestino. Before this facility was built, local kids needed to travel several miles to access the internet and complete homework. Thanks to this project they can do all of this completely free of charge and without having to leave Celestino. The internet room has several computers, and printers and scanners available for any local kid who needs to complete school assignments.
This facility will continue to be maintained and equipped as the town’s needs grow. We want to thank our guests who continue to support Cardon, allowing us to make these improvements in our community.

HOME FOR THE ELDERLY
Our home for the elderly is our way to care for the senior citizens. Cardon Resort has opened a house where all senior citizens of the town of Celestino can attend and enjoy quality time with other members. All sort of activities are organized so they can continue to enjoy a good life filled with social events, a sense of belonging and purpose in life.

PUBLIC SCHOOL
There are many challenges for schools located in rural areas. Even getting basic materials essential for the learning process can at times be a difficult task. We at Cardon have made it a priority to support in every way we can the local school of Celestino Gasca. We do this with our own resources and in some occasions with the generous contributions of our guests.
As sponsors we have provided books, backpacks, pencils and other school supplies for kids who can’t afford them. If you’d like to get involved, please contact us and we’ll let you know how you can participate.

PUBLIC LIBRARY
We sponsored the construction and refurbishing of Celestino Gasca’s only library. It is now a free and public service we feel very proud of.

LOCAL CLINIC
As with most rural communities, good medical services are hard to find, if not impossible. Cardon is currently working in the construction of Celestino’s first clinic. This facility will treat urgent non-life-threatening emergencies such as fin cuts, as well first aid and initial treatment for injuries. Its services will be available to visitors and locals alike. The project is set to start in 2024 and completed in 2025. Stay tuned.

Sinaloa Surfs

We are surfers. We consider continued support to Sinaloa’s Surf Association one of our most important social compromises. We’ve been supporting the SSA for more than 8 years now by covering the expenses necessary for the team to travel and compete around the country.
